Live-Action Death Note Films' Site Starts Countdown
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Warner Brothers' website for the live-action Death Note films launched a countdown timer on the site on Friday.
The countdown will end on Sunday at 10:30 p.m. The countdown's end coincides with the broadcast time of the currently airing live-action Death Note series' final episode.
Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's Death Note supernatural suspense manga already inspired three live-action films and a 37-episode television anime series in Japan. Viz Media released the Death Note manga, the anime series, and a spinoff novel in North America. Viz Pictures released the three live-action films in American theaters.
More recently, the manga inspired a musical by a Japanese and American team that ran at Tokyo's Nissay Theatre from April 6-29.
The live-action drama premiered in NTV on July 5.
