This year's 38th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that Taishi Tsutsui's We Never Learn (Boku-tachi wa Benkyō ga Dekinai) manga will have an important announcement in the magazine's next issue on August 27.
GMO Internet, Inc. registered the domain name "boku-ben.com" on August 10. In addition, the "@bokuben_anime" Twitter account was recently opened this month. The domain is currently inaccessible, and the Twitter account has made no tweets.
Tsutsui launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2017, and the seventh compiled book volume shipped on July 4. The eighth volume will ship on September 4. As of May 2, the series has 1 million copies in print.
The manga's story centers on Yuiga, a student who is aiming for a scholarship because he comes from a poor family. His school gives him a condition: he can have a recommendation for a scholarship if he tutors his two beautiful classmates to help them get into the schools of their choice. Ogata may be a science genius and Furuhashi a literature prodigy — but Ogata is aiming for a liberal arts school and Furuhashi is aiming for a science school. And they're both clueless outside their fields of expertise.
Viz Media previewed the first three chapters of the manga for free as part of its "Jump Start" initiative, and added the manga as a regular series for its digital English edition of Weekly Shonen Jump in April 2017.
