CAPCOM posted details about the Monster Hunter: World and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt collaboration on its website after the free update officially launched on Thursday. The collaboration is divided into two parts, the first of which involves a story campaign with Geralt as a playable character, and the second of which involves a limited-time multiplayer event quest for HR50+ Hunters from February 15 to March 1.
CAPCOM also posted a video showing Geralt appearing in the world of Monster Hunter: World and fighting against a Leshen, a monster from The Witcher 3. Ciri also appears in the trailer video to tease her armor set and dual blades, which can be obtained as a reward for beating the limited-time "Contract: Woodland Spirit" event quest.
The Geralt α full armor set will be available for crafting after beating the story campaign, along with the Sword & Shield weapon Witcher's Silver Sword. The Nekker α full armor set and Cursed Staff α will be unlocked for your Palico companion.
Doug Cockle will return to voice Geralt in the collaboration.
