Yukie Kawamura, Hitomi Yoshizaki, Amane Okayama, Reiko Hayama, Shingo Mizusawa, and Fuyuki Moto will also star in the film.
Rikya Imaizumi will direct the film from scripts by himself and Shō Kataoka. Junichi Soga will score the soundtrack.
Hōzuki-san Chi no Aneki is a brother-sister romantic comedy that follows the daily life of Gorō Hōzuki, a high school boy with an older sister named Haru who is unrelated by blood. Gorō is mortified when the self-centered and lustful Haru plays pranks on him. Igarashi published the four-volume manga in Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace magazine between 2009-2011. A spinoff series, Hōzuki-san Chi no Aneki: Nano Branch, launched in the 4-Koma Ace magazine in 2011. An anime adaptation of the original manga was announced in 2011, but has yet to air.
The film will open in theaters in Japan on September 6.
