Mixed Vegetables' Ayumi Komura Ends Full Dozer Manga
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
This year's 17th issue of Shueisha's Margaret magazine announced on August 5 that Ayumi Komura will end her Full Dozer manga in the 18th issue on August 20.
The story centers on Ryōma, a third-year middle school student who has a crush on his childhood friend Mao. Mao is the type of girl who, when she decides on something, she moves forward in a straight line like a bulldozer. Mao develops a crush on a popular new actor named Hayato, and she chases him to Tokyo. Ryōma follows Mao and decides to enter show business.
Komura launched the manga in December, and Shueisha published the second volume on July 24.
Komura ended her cross-dressing shōjo manga Usotsuki Lily (Liar Lily) in May 2014, after a five-year run.
Viz Media published Komura's Mixed Vegetables manga in print and digital forms in North America. The American Library Association's Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) division listed the first Mixed Vegetables volume among the "great graphic novels for teens" published in 2009.
