Cardfight!! Vanguard Franchise Gets Stage Play in January

Bushiroad announced at a stage event at Tokyo Game Show on Thursday that its Cardfight!! Vanguard trading card game franchise is getting a stage play in January 2016. Bushiroad did not provide any other details about the stage play at the event.
Bushiroad additionally announced that its Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Gears Crisis-hen anime will air on TV Tokyo-affiliated stations, and BS Japan. The anime will premiere on October 11 at 10:00 a.m. Bushiroad presented a key visual for the anime featuring two new characters: Luna Yumizuki (voiced by Haruka Kudou) and Amu Chōno (voiced by Aimi). Franchise creator Akira Ito created the two characters. Luna and Amu will be idols in the new show. BREAKERZ will perform the anime's opening theme song.
The second anime adaptation of Mini Van (Mini Vanguard), Quily's four-panel manga based the franchise, will air within the Saturday Vanguard 1030 variety program. The variety program will premiere on October 3 at 10:30 a.m. on BS Japan.
Based on Bushiroad's card game franchise, the Cardfight!! Vanguard G anime premiered last October. The story begins at Card Capital Shop No. 2, three years after the story in the earlier Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate-Hen anime. The main characters are Chrono Shindō (voiced by Mark Ishii), Shion Kiba (Junya Enoki), and Tokoha Anjō (Emi Nitta). Crunchyroll is streaming it with English subtitles, and YouTube is streaming it with an English dub.
