Avex Establishes U.S. Subsidiaries in Delaware & California
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Japanese music and entertainment company Avex Group established a North American subsidiary company named Avex International Holding Corporation in Delaware in June. Avex International Holding Corporation then established a California-based subsidiary named Avex International Inc. in the same month.
Avex International Holding Corporation has capital stock worth 1 million U.S. dollars, with Avex Group CSO Ryūhei Chiba named as CEO. Avex International Inc. also has capital stock worth 1 million U.S. dollars, with Avex corporate executive Richard Blackstone named as CEO. Avex International Inc. will handle the actual entertainment business.
Both subsidiaries are part of Avex Group's growth strategy, which it unveiled in May for moving forward to the year 2020. The business plan calls for expansion of the company's business in North America and Asia. While Avex Group has subsidiary companies in Singapore and Taiwan in the form of Avex Asia Pte. Ltd. and Avex Taiwan Inc., respectively, it has not had a North American subsidiary until now. The company plans to discover and nurture hit content in Japan, Asia, and North America and export them to each others' markets.
