Sentai Filmworks announced on Thursday that it has licensed RIN-NE 3, the third television anime season inspired by Rumiko Takahashi's RIN-NE (Kyōkai no Rinne) manga. The company plans to simulcast the series digitally and later release the series on home video.
The new anime season will premiere in Japan on NHK-E TV on April 8. New episodes will air every Saturday at 5:35 p.m.
The RIN-NE 2 television anime series premiered in Japan last April. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for home video.
The anime's first 25-episode season premiered in April 2015. Crunchyroll also streamed the series as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks released the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in two sets in July and September.
Takahashi launched the manga in Shonen Sunday in 2009 after ending her long-running series Inuyasha in the same magazine. The RIN-NE manga's 35th compiled book volume shipped in Japan on March 17. Viz Media is releasing the manga in English, and it released the 23rd compiled volume on March 14.
