This year's second issue of Shonengahosha's Young King magazine published the first chapter in a new short-run manga series by Kairi Shimotsuki titled Akuratsu on December 25. The manga's first chapter featured a color opening page (left), and was also featured on the magazine's front cover (right).
Shimotsuki recently launched a new manga titled Arthur Bright in Tokuma Shoten's Comic Zenon magazine last May. Tokuma Shoten published the manga's first compiled book volume last November.
Shimotsuki launched Brave10 S, the continuation of her original Brave10 manga, in the first issue of Monthly Comic Gene in 2011, and ended the series in March 2016. She also serialized the one-volume Brave10 Tawamure spinoff series from June 2016 to January 2017.
The original Brave10 manga inspired a television anime in 2012, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan. NIS America released a Blu-ray Disc box of Brave10 in 2013.
Shimotsuki is also serializing the Ayakashi Parade Game manga in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Gene magazine. Kadokawa published the second compiled volume last September.
North American publisher Digital Manga Publishing licensed Shimotsuki's A Century of Temptation manga and published it in 2013. Tokyopop published Shimotsuki's Madness manga in 2009, and Udon Entertainment published her Devil Kings Basara manga in 2008.
