The official blog for Comic-Con International: San Diego announced on Monday that illustrator Yoshitaka Amano will be a guest at this year's event.
Amano is most well known for his contributions to Vampire Hunter D and the Final Fantasy series, as well as his collaboration with English graphic novelist Neil Gaiman on Sandman: The Dream Hunters. He has been in the anime industry since he was 15, when he joined the veteran studio Tatsunoko Production, and has contributed to many anime and video game projects.
Dark Horse Comics will release an English version of Amano's illustrated biography, first published in France, this year.
Comic-Con International will take place on July 19-22 at the San Diego Convention Center with a preview night on July 18. The event will also host a gala awards ceremony for the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards on July 20.
