The official Twitter account for the Dragon Ball video game series revealed on Friday that the character "SSGSS Gogeta" will join Bandai Namco Entertainment's Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2 game as part of the fourth DLC "Extra Pack" that will launch this winter. Gogeta is the fusion of Goku and Vegeta from the fusion dance, and the character will also appear in the Dragon Ball Super: Broly film that opens in Japan on December 14.
The DLC will also feature the character "Super Saiyan Full Power Broly" as he appears in the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Broly film. A separate free update for the game this winter will also add a "Tournament of Power" stage, a Broly wig, and a Santa outfit.
Bandai Namco Entertainment released Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in North America and Europe in October 2016, and for the PS4 in Japan in November 2016. The company then released the game for the Nintendo Switch in Japan and the West in September 2017. The game's third DLC "Extra Pack" launched in August.
The first Dragon Ball Xenoverse game shipped for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 consoles in Japan, Europe, and North America in February 2015. The game also debuted on PC via Steam in the same month. The game series has shipped more than 10 million copies worldwide.
