Monster Hunter: World, Dragon Ball FighterZ Games Win at The Game Awards 2018

The Game Awards 2018 announced on Thursday that CAPCOM's Monster Hunter: World game won Best Role Playing Game, and Arc System Works and Bandai Namco Entertainment's Dragon Ball FighterZ game won Best Fighting Game.
Additionally, SIE Japan Studio's ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission game won Best VR/AR Game.
Monster Hunter: World was also nominated for Game of the Year, but lost to God of War. When accepting the award for Best Role Playing Game, CAPCOM's Ryozo Tsujimoto stated that there would be "great news for our fans" within the next few days.
Last year, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won the categories of Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, and Best Action/Adventure Game. NieR:Automata won Best Score/Music, Persona 5 won Best Role Playing Game, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard won Best VR/AR Game, and Super Mario Odyssey won Best Family Game. Monster Hunter: World received the award for Most Anticipated Game.
