Age 12's Nao Maita Launches New Manga in March
posted on by Karen Ressler
This year's March issue of Shogakukan's Ciao Deluxe magazine announced last Saturday that manga artist Nao Maita will launch a "completely new series" in the next issue on March 20. The magazine did not reveal the title of the new series, but teased "new love, new feelings, and new encounters."
Maita launched the manga Age 12 (12-Sai.; pictured right) in 2012, and it will enter a new "finale" arc titled 12-Sai. ~Sotsugyō~ (Age 12 Graduation) in March. The manga won Best Children's Manga at the 64th Shogakukan Manga Awards this year.
Age 12 inspired the 12-Sai: Chiccha na Mune no Tokimeki (Age 12: A Little Heart-Pounding) television anime, two original video anime series, and a live-action DVD special.
The March issue of Ciao magazine will publish Maita's new one-shot manga "Junjō Girlfriend" (Pure Heart Girlfriend) on February 1.
