Voice Actor Tsubasa Yonaga Limits His Work Due to Dysphonia
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Voice actor Tsubasa Yonaga and his agency Ken Production announced on Monday that he is limiting his work due to dysphonia. He will continue to work on titles and appear at events only that have already been announced or are currently in production. Yonaga and the agency are hoping for a swift and complete recovery for the voice actor.
The announcement explained that Yonaga's dysphonia began around the end of 2018, but he continued his activities as normal. The decision to limit part of Yonaga's activities was made on account of his ongoing condition after receiving recommendations from doctors and having discussions with related companies and staff members.
Yonaga's major anime roles include Yowamushi Pedal's Sangaku Manami, IDOLiSH7's Mitsuki Izumi, Free!'s Nagisa Hazuki, and Chihayafuru's Tsutomu Komano. His roles also include All Out!!'s Mitsuo Hanadate, Love Stage!!'s Izumi Sena, and Cardfight!! Vanguard's Aichi Sendō.
Yonaga announced his marriage to fellow voice actress Yuka Nishigaki (Inazuma Eleven's Ichirōta Kazemaru, Guilty Crown's Yuu) in May 2015. The couple's first child was born in July 2018.
