But wouldn't that require a convoy of AI-driven trucks to start running people over en masse? In that case, I guess Stephen King's Maximum Overdrive (or Trucks, if you prefer the short story) will become a rather realistic plot.

Does anyone else find hugging faces branding/name repulsive? It's like if an incel called himself "wholesome" or when people call isekai anime with sex slaves "iyashikei"

Well, to an English speaker It just makes me think of the Face Hugger aliens so I'm not sure it had the effect they wanted.
