My Hero Academia Creator Kohei Horikoshi to Attend San Diego's Comic-Con Int'l

Viz Media announced on Tuesday that My Hero Academia creator Kōhei Horikoshi will be a guest at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2018.

The convention marks Horikoshi's first professional North American appearance. Horikoshi will participate in a My Hero Academia panel discussion along with several voice actors including Christopher R. Sabat (All Might) and Justin Briner (Deku). He will also participate in Viz Media's Shonen Jump panel and two autograph sessions.
Horikoshi won the a Tezuka Award Honorable Mention in 2006 and debuted Oumagadoki Doubutsuen, his first series for Weekly Shonen Jump, in 2010. He drew Barrage (Sensei no Baruji) for Weekly Shonen Jump in 2012, and Viz Media published the series in English. He launched his current best-selling series My Hero Academia in 2014, and it has inspired an anime adaptation that is now on its third series.
Comic-Con International will take place on July 19-22 at the San Diego Convention Center with a preview night on July 18. The event will host a gala awards ceremony for the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards on July 20. Illustrator Yoshitaka Amano will also be a guest.
